This Saturday afternoon, Danubio took down Nacional 2-0 in a game representing Uruguayan soccer at its best. Although Danubio was last year's league champ, their fan turnout was weak compared to Nacional, one of Uruguay's oldest teams, whose fans filled 4/5 of the stadium and demanded a heavy police presence to protect the Danubio fans. This shot was taken after a Danubio goal, which inspired fans to shimmey up the high fence surrounding the field. For more photos from the game, click here.
